Frances Fairfax

Frances Fairfax is the wife of Jane Ellen Fairfax and was the first wife to become a Life Member of Tri-Ess. Together with Jane she was a co-founder of Tau Chi Chapter in Houston and continues to serve on its Board. She also serves as Secretary of the Tri-Ess Board of Directors and as Editor in Chief of the MIRROR. Frances is a co-founder of SPICE and a member of the SPICE Planning Board. A veteran of numerous transgender community conventions, Frances has attended all Holidays En Femme since 1987 and all SPICE conferences. She and Jane were joint recipients of IFGE’s Virginia Prince Lifetime Service Award in 2000. Frances has been supportive of Jane's cross dressing from the beginning, and in addition to raising two teenage sons enjoys music, gardening, reading and desktop publishing. She likes meeting new crossdressers and their wives and helping them to understand and deal with transgender issues in their relationship. Frances is also a committed Christian who finds nothing in God's Word to condemn cross dressing. "By their fruits you shall know them" is her guiding principle.
