Board Meeting Minutes

January 20, 2009

Meeting called to order by Chair. Present were Jane Ellen Fairfax, Mary Fairfax, Denise Peters, Amandatti Kapella, Rae Louise Wall, Tootsye Ann Barnes, Pat Barnes, Cheryl Dennison, and Donna Martin.

Motion was made by Tootsye, seconded by Rae, to purchase the software upgrade for Denise re web site and membership, including publishing. Subject was discussed and unamimously passed.

Jane advised that due to Mary's illness it is necessary to appoint an Acting Secretary to keep the minutes. Denise voluteered. Jane asked whether everyone is comfortable with Denise as Acting Secretary.Tootsye nominated Denise as Acting Secretary for the Society for the Second Self . Nomination seconded by Donna. Passed unanimously.

Jane brought up the next item ,which is the election of the Board of Governance. Board requested that Denise post the list of members of the Board Denise posted the following list; Chair: Jane Ellen Fairfax, Secretary: Mary Fairfax, Denise Peters Amandatti Kapella, Rae Louise Wall, Tootsye Ann Barnes, Pat Barnes, Cheryl Dennison, Donna Martin. After the list was posted, motion was made by Tootsye, and seconded by Rae, to re-elect the present Board for a term of two years beginning March 1, 2009. ......... All votes in, Jane announced that the board was unanimously elected for 2 years with relection in January 2011.

There being no further business , the meeting was adjourned.
