Denise Peters

Denise has been dressing since high school. Several years ago, at age 49, she finally found she wasn't alone when she learned of Tri-Ess and attended her first Chi-Chapter meeting, She has since been very active in the community, going out regularly and just finished her 6th year as Chi-Chapter President and her 8th year as Editor of the Chi-Tribune newsletter, where she retired after publishing her 100th issue. Her past service has included; Vice President of the Chicago Gender Society, an open support group in Chicago, Vice President of Chi-Chapter and later its Secretary, which she was also back doing in 2002. She is one of the founders of the Great Lakes Gender Leadership Conference (COGG Council of Gender Groups) which is an umbrella organization involving seven gender groups in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. She attended her first Holiday EnFemme ('96) where she was in charge of registration and publicity while at the same time serving as Chair for Be-All '97 in Chicago. Denise served as Chair and registration for the 2001 Holiday-Enfemme and serves on the Tri-Ess Governance Committee. She co-founded the 'Spring Fling' in West Chicago and was the inspiration behind the co-sponsorship of the Be-All in Chicago beginning in 2002. Denise's hobbies include Model Railroading, Electronics, Criminal justice and Computers, construction, programming and data base creation .  Denise can usually be found at her computer working on the directory, or on the Internet serving as web-mistress, of this Tri-Ess national web site and several others.
